Nutrition

Following is a list of links to specific articles and websites that I have come across (and found useful) in my nutritional journey.  Be sure to visit this page once in a while to check for updates and don’t forget to share the knowledge via Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, or even the old fashioned “Word-of-Mouth”!

Dr. Phil Maffetone’s Website - Complementary Sports Medicine guru, endurance training expert, musician, and best-selling author.  The real Dr. Phil is an intelligent and original thinker as well as a source of much common sense about nutrition, health, and fitness.

Dr. Maffetone’s Two Week Test for carbohydrate intolerance is a great starting place for health and nutrition.  Read a more detailed account about the test in this free chapter from his book, “In Fitness and in Health”.

The Slow Carb Diet is a great way to lose a lot of weight really, really (really), fast.  Not only do you lose weight safely, and with lasting results, but it is also easy to make this into a sustainable nutritional regime with very little adaptation.  Credit goes to Tim Ferriss, best-selling author of the Four Hour Work Week and the Four Hour Body.

Crossfit Journal (November 2003) - free download - has a lot more useful information from a slightly different perspective.  Crossfit is worth checking out for their daily exercise ideas also.

Of course, there are my articles also:
Weight Loss Through Parkour (May 2011)
Current Nutritional Regime (March 2011)
My Ideal Diet (September 2010)
Three Easy Meals for Weight Loss (September 2010)
